Coating Process for Flat Roofs

We are able to coat almost all types of flat roofs with our ARC Pro Liquid Membrane Coating. Our process for flat roofs use a four coat system, ensuring that your roof will be restored to the highest level and be waterproof and weathertight.

Our coating service is typically completed between two to four days — dependent on the scope of the job and the weather.

Stage 1: Inspection

We start with a thorough check of your roof to identify any damage, leaks, or areas needing repair before we begin coating.

Stage 2: Professional cleaning

We remove all dirt, moss, and debris, then water blast the entire surface to create a clean base for the coating to properly adhere.

If moss and mould is present, the roof will be treated with ARC Roof Cleaner, a slow release, biodegradable, antifungicide treatment.

Stage 3: Prep and repair

Once clean, we prepare the flat roof surface for coating.

Any cracks, holes, or damaged areas are repaired. We seal joints, edges, and flashings to ensure your roof is watertight before coating.

Stage 4: Priming (if required)

Depending on your roof surface, we may apply a primer to improve adhesion and extend the life of the coating.

Stage 5: Application of coating

After the roof is clean and appropriately treated, two waterproof base coats are applied to flat roofs. Once the base coats have cured, two to four coats of ARC Pro Liquid Membrane Roof Coat will be applied in your chosen colour.

This step completely seals the roof with a waterproof membrane to protect it for many years to come. Our Product Warranty is 10 years, however, we expect the coating to last well beyond this period.

Stage 6: Final check and clean up

Once the coating has cured, we inspect the entire roof to ensure it meets our quality standards.
